It's a Great American Special Jim Hall's "Road Runners" used to dominate many a North American road-race weekend. On August 19-21 they'll do it again. Every surviving example of the Chaparral 2 series, plus three of the earlier Chaparral 1s, will be at Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca during the Rolex Monterey Historic Automobile Races Presented by Chrysler. Chaparral, this year's featured marque, headlines the event's overall theme of "Great American Specials."
